Vision Statement

With the goal of a more peaceful and just world, Puget Sound Interfaith Youth Camp offers a safe place for youth from a variety of faith and religious traditions to be themselves, have a great time in a beautiful natural setting, and discover more about their common humanity.

Organizers hope that campers' growing understanding of each other's worldviews will result in greater respect, appreciation, empathy and compassion.

Quotes from Puget Sound Interfaith Campers:

"I liked the fact that we got along so quickly and were able to overlook stereotypes and get to know people."

"It was helpful to know that there really are people that you can trust and that people can trust you!"

"What did I like most? The point that we all can get along."

"It was helpful to not be judged by anyone for my religion."

The camp is for girls and boys of all faiths who will be entering the 7th-9th grades in the fall of 2008.

"I was satisfied from start to finish -- I only wish my child could attend through high school!"

-- A camper's parent
