Decision Made Not to Have Camp in 2010

The steering committee of Puget Sound Interfaith Youth Camp is sorry to announce that there will not be a camp session this summer.

Why?

For many reasons, including scheduling difficulties, the committee has decided to begin planning now for the summer of 2011. We need to reorganize and build a solid infrastructure for the long-term health of the camp, probably with a part-time paid camp administrator. It has been almost all volunteer up until now, and the amount of work required is just too much for volunteers alone. 

We have made this decision both with a heavy heart and with relief, because although we hate not having camp, we know that our putting it off will assure that when camp resumes in 2011, it will have been well-planned so that it is a wonderful experience for the campers that year and for many years to come. May it be so!
